Farewell to Freedom ~ Synopsis

Synopsis:

To get away from the stress of divorce, wealthy socialite, Cheyenne visits Las Vegas with her best friend Jennifer.

The National Finals Rodeo is going on. They meet two Oklahoma cowboys at a black jack table in the Golden Nugget. Vulnerable, Cheyenne is attracted to Rowdy’s good looks and charm. They have a fun filled weekend. Cheyenne thinks it’s over when the weekend ends, but unfortunately, it’s only the beginning.

She’s excited when Rowdy calls to invite her to visit him on his Oklahoma ranch. She accepts. The romance escalates, and despite great lifestyle variances, she falls in love. Cheyenne gives up a perfect world to move in with Rowdy in a run-down bunkhouse on his ranch. She’s in love and despite their differences; she’s determined to make the best of things.

Rowdy convinces her to invest heavily. She builds a rodeo arena, steakhouse, and lodge in the middle of nowhere. They partner to raise rodeo bulls for the Professional Bull Rider’s Association.

Eventually she begins to see Rowdy’s true colors, and the romance wanes. Life on the ranch is difficult, but Cheyenne refuses to give up. She works hard trying to recover her financial losses. Each day with Rowdy brings unbelievable setbacks and obstacles. Although once sensitive and caring, the elements and life on the prairie make her tough.

She finds the strength to carry on, even when she realizes that Rowdy is an underachiever, womanizer and a drunk. In the beginning, she thinks she can change him… he tries, and fails.

Cheyenne gets her fill and offers the ranch for sale. She feels used and confused when she realizes that her love for Rowdy, and the lifestyle she’s created for them, has all been in vain.

It's over, and she knows it. She sells out and drives away leaving Rowdy despondent and financially devastated. He knows his free ride is over when he climbs into the old plane to go look for runaway bulls. The plane goes down, does he survive or is there a sequel in the works?
